UKRAINIAN WRITER I. M. LOHVYNENKO (1922–2004) – AUTHOR OF POPULAR SCIENTIFIC BOOKS AND ARTICLES ON THE HISTORY OF THE SCIENCE OF FORENSICS

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the creative work of the Ukrainian writer Ivan Mykhailovych Lohvynenko
(1922–2004), which includes more than sixty scientific works and works of fiction, the author comprehends some
aspects of the formation and development of the science of forensic science. In addition, the life and creative work
of the writer are highlighted, and his works, including "In Search of Truth" (1977), "At Dawn" (1985), "Mysteries
Solved" (1986), and "In the Arms of Themis: Stories about Forensic Science" (1988), are considered. The study used, in
particular, historical and legal, historical and comparative, biographical and formal legal methods.
